India Population Centers
Population centers around the world develop for a variety of reasons. Furthermore, often these population centers are more than just big cities, they are megaopolis centers with massive populations and massive production and consumption requirements. Identify the population centers of your region identifying their extent, location, reason for existence and uniqueness for their country. How or why did they come about. What unique circumstances contributed to their development. Be sure to find a good map indicating the population distribution of your region they will be more than one center in each instance.

India (link to map) population centers are located near the Brahmaputra and Ganges rivers because they supplied water to ancient civilizations and people still settle there because of the water source. Also the Ganges river is holy to the Indians so they wanted to settle near the river for religious reasons.

About 1.13 billion people? That's 17% of the world population.
India has more arable areas than any country except the United States, and more water area than any country except Canada and the US!
